HeyMilo alternatives: the best options by volume, channel and role type

The best HeyMilo alternatives depend on what you hire. Ribbon, Classet, Tenzo or Alex suit high-volume phone screening, and Paradox or Sapia.ai suit chat-first screening. HireVue and BrightHire Screen suit enterprise programmes. Expert Hire or CodeSignal fit when the first round has to test technical skills, such as coding and system design.
HeyMilo is good at what it's built for, which is screening lots of people by voice, video and text. So the right pick isn't always "something like HeyMilo, but cheaper." Sometimes it's a different kind of tool. Below, we sort the options by the hiring you actually do.
Key Takeaways
Our position: if your hiring looks like HeyMilo's (hourly and frontline roles at volume), compare it with other volume screeners. If you hire engineers, look at a different kind of interviewer.
HeyMilo doesn't publish prices, and neither do most of its competitors. We only quote prices a vendor shows on its own site.
For hourly volume by phone, Ribbon, Classet, Tenzo and Alex are the closest HeyMilo competitors. Classet is the only one of the four we found with a published starting price.
For technical roles, Expert Hire and CodeSignal run coding rounds. Neither offers HeyMilo's SMS screening.
Agencies on Bullhorn should note that HeyMilo lists a Bullhorn integration. Expert Hire's is on the roadmap, not live.
The best HeyMilo alternatives in 2026: the short answer
Here's the list, grouped by the job you need done. Every claim below comes from the vendor's own website, read on November 2, 2026.
Hourly and frontline volume, by phone: Ribbon, Classet, Tenzo, Alex.
Chat and messaging-first screening: Paradox, Sapia.ai.
Enterprise programmes: HireVue, BrightHire Screen.
Technical and professional roles, and agencies with several clients: Expert Hire, CodeSignal.
Checked November 2, 2026: a few facts to have to hand, each from the vendor's own page.
HeyMilo screens with "structured AI voice, video, SMS, and forms" and "Operates 24/7 in 20+ languages." Its pricing page is a demo request (heymilo.ai).
Ribbon says it interviews "24/7, at any volume" and works "in 10 languages." It has "signed an agreement to be acquired by Dayforce" (ribbon.ai).
As of November 2026, Classet's Hiring Hub starts at $249 a month billed annually, and it says it connects to "95+ ATS platforms" (classet.ai).
Alex lists "33+ officially supported ATS integrations" (apriora.ai).
As of November 2026, CodeSignal's Build plan is $79 a month billed annually and includes engineering AI interviewers (codesignal.com/pricing).
What HeyMilo does, and who it's built for
HeyMilo calls itself the "Leading AI Recruiter for High-Volume Hiring." It screens and interviews every applicant by voice, video, text and forms, day and night, in more than 20 languages. It also has tools for sourcing, skill checks, cheat checks, scheduling and white labeling.
It sells to in-house recruiters, staffing agencies, franchises and teams that screen in many languages. Bullhorn is a featured integration, and Greenhouse, SmartRecruiters and Workable are among the others. The pricing page shows "SOC 2 Type II" and "GDPR Compliant" badges.
So, the fair label. HeyMilo is best for high-volume hourly and frontline hiring, and for agencies on Bullhorn, that want screening, interviewing and cheat checks from one vendor.
Why teams look for HeyMilo alternatives
We didn't read user reviews for this post, so we won't guess at complaints. There are three plain, checkable reasons a team might look around.
Pricing isn't published. HeyMilo's pricing page is a "Book a demo" form. Some third-party lists quote per-interview figures, but HeyMilo doesn't show them, so we don't repeat them. If you need a number before a call, that's a fair reason to look elsewhere.
It's built for volume. Its own headline says "High-Volume Hiring." If you're filling a few specialist roles, a volume platform may be more than you need.
Role fit. Its demo examples are warehouse, nursing and sales roles. If your first round has to test code or system design, you need a tool that runs a technical round.
For hourly and frontline volume by phone: Ribbon, Classet, Tenzo, Alex
These are HeyMilo's closest competitors. They all call or screen candidates at scale.
Ribbon
Ribbon says it talks to every applicant, day or night, "at any volume," on "any phone, in 10 languages." It lists "Staffing Agencies & RPO" as a segment. It has agreed to be bought by Dayforce, which is worth raising in a demo.
Best for: phone screens for hourly roles.
Limit: pricing not published. See our Ribbon alternatives page for a head-to-head.
Classet
Classet's AI, Joy, "calls candidates the moment they apply." Classet says it's built for hourly and frontline roles, with customers in staffing, skilled trades, health care and logistics. As of November 2026, its Hiring Hub starts at $249 a month billed annually, and plans start with 20 free interviews (a card is required at signup).
Best for: hourly, frontline and skilled-trades hiring with a price you can see up front.
Limit: built for frontline roles, not technical interviews.
Tenzo
Tenzo runs phone or video interviews, day and night, in "40+ languages." It says it has "57+ integrations out of the box." Its pricing page is a quote form.
Best for: voice screens in many languages, synced to the ATS.
Limit: pricing not published.
Alex (by Apriora)
Alex says "Let Alex call thousands of candidates instantly." It scores each application for fraud risk and checks credentials. On HeyMilo vs Alex, the honest split is this: both run volume screens, and Alex leans harder on fraud and credential checks.
Best for: volume calling with fraud and credential checks.
Limit: pricing not published. Our Alex alternatives page compares it in more depth.
If you want the bigger picture on calling candidates with AI, our post on AI phone interviews covers how they work and where they fall short.
For chat and messaging-first screening: Paradox, Sapia.ai
Paradox
Paradox sells what it calls "Conversational hiring software" for frontline workers and their managers. It says it can "Automate 90% of the hiring process" with two-way text and auto scheduling. It also sells its own ATS.
Best for: large frontline employers who want messaging and scheduling on autopilot.
Limit: it's messaging-led, not a voice interviewer. Pricing not published.
Sapia.ai
Sapia.ai runs an "AI Chat Interview," so candidates type their answers. It sells to contact centres, food and drink brands, and professional hiring.
Best for: structured text-chat interviews at volume.
Limit: chat, not voice, which is a format choice rather than a flaw. Pricing not published.
For enterprise programmes: HireVue, BrightHire Screen
HireVue
HireVue says it has "20+ years" of interviews and tests behind it. Its AI Interviewer runs voice-based interviews, and it has tools to catch cheating and fraud.
Best for: large enterprises and RPOs that want an established vendor.
Limit: pricing not published. Our HireVue alternatives page goes deeper.
BrightHire Screen
BrightHire Screen is an AI interviewer that runs structured screens at scale. BrightHire says it's "Priced by interview volume." Zoom bought BrightHire, in a deal that closed in December 2025. It also sells notes and scorecards for your human interviews. Our BrightHire vs Metaview comparison covers both.
Best for: teams that want an AI screener and notes on human interviews from one vendor.
Limit: pricing not published.
Also on most lists, not reviewed here: Humanly, and one-way video tools such as Spark Hire, VidCruiter, Willo and Hireflix.
For technical and professional roles, and agencies with several clients: Expert Hire, CodeSignal
Expert Hire
Expert Hire is an AI interview platform for staffing agencies, hiring teams and campuses: it runs structured AI interviews and coding tests, scores them against your rubric, and gives each candidate a report card, priced per workspace from $99 a month. Its live AI interviews cover coding and system design. Each candidate gets a report card with the transcript and code behind every score, and agencies keep each client in its own workspace.
There are eight AI interview types, from Coding to System Design, in seven languages (English, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Tagalog and Arabic). Coding tests run in many languages, C# included, and prompt assessments have technical and non-technical tracks. You can read the details on the AI interview platform page.
For agencies, every plan includes a separate client workspace with its own logo and brand name, per the staffing page. Pricing is per workspace, never per seat: Explorer $99, Starter $249, Growth $499 a month, and Scale is custom. The 30-day trial comes with 75 Hire Credits.
Best for: agencies and in-house teams screening engineers, data and other professional roles, where the recruiter can't judge the answer alone.
Limits: no SMS screening. It runs in seven languages against HeyMilo's 20+. Greenhouse is available today in early access, Lever and Ashby are supported with those integrations rolling out, and Bullhorn is on the roadmap. All proctoring unlocks on Growth or Scale, and SSO is upcoming, not on any plan today.
You can turn on auto-shortlist and auto-reject cutoffs, but they're off by default. So there's no black-box pass/fail.
CodeSignal
CodeSignal sells an "AI Interviewer" and "AI Phone Screens" next to its coding tests. As of November 2026, its Build plan is $79 a month billed annually and includes AI interviewers for product, design and engineering roles.
Best for: technical hiring teams that want an AI interviewer next to coding tests.
Limit: ATS integrations start on the Grow plan, at $479 a month billed annually. For the wider field, see our CodeSignal alternatives for recruiters.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best alternative to HeyMilo, and who are its main competitors?
HeyMilo's closest rivals for volume screening are Ribbon, Classet, Tenzo and Alex, which all call or screen candidates at scale. Paradox and Sapia.ai are chat-first, and HireVue suits big enterprise programmes. For technical roles, Expert Hire and CodeSignal fit better.
What is the best HeyMilo alternative for a staffing agency?
It depends on your ATS and roles. HeyMilo lists Bullhorn as a featured integration, so a Bullhorn agency hiring at volume may stay put. Expert Hire suits agencies placing technical people for several clients, but its Bullhorn connector is on the roadmap, not live. Our AI interview tool shortlist for IT staffing agencies compares the agency options.
How much does HeyMilo cost?
HeyMilo doesn't publish prices. Its pricing page asks you to book a demo, so HeyMilo pricing comes only by quote. Some third-party sites quote per-interview figures, but since HeyMilo doesn't show them, treat those as unconfirmed.
Which HeyMilo alternatives work in many languages?
From each vendor's own site, Tenzo says "40+ languages," HeyMilo says "20+" and Ribbon says "10." Expert Hire runs AI interviews in seven: English, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Tagalog and Arabic.
Is there a HeyMilo alternative for technical interviews?
Yes. Expert Hire runs live AI interviews with coding and system design, and you get a report card with the transcript and code. CodeSignal sells AI interviewers for engineers next to its coding tests. HeyMilo's own focus is hiring at volume.
The bottom line
If you hire at volume by phone or text, HeyMilo and its closest competitors are all worth a demo, and Classet is the one that shows a price. If your first round has to test technical skill, you're shopping in a different aisle.
